Acts

The book of Acts catalogues the establishment and growth of the early church from a small group of 120 Jews to a multicultural, multinational movement that drew in tens of thousands and eventually changed the world and the course of history. From its genesis the movement had a global and personal mission from Jesus to spread the Gospel to the entire planet. The Holy Spirit empowered “unschooled, ordinary men” (Acts 4:13) who “turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6) by changing Jews and Pagans into Christ followers. Jesus’ mission to the church in the 21st century is the same as it was in the first century and the power of the Holy Spirit is still available to spread the gospel and change lives. This series will apply lessons from the early church to enable us to be effective in advancing the Gospel in our world.
