Disaster and Emergency Relief Team

Our Purpose: To share Christ in Crisis.
  • Our Motivation: The example set by Jesus feeding the 5,000 and 4,000 and when he stopped to help just one person in need. The Parable of the Good Samaritan and when He sent forth the 70, he instructed them to Heal then to Teach.
  • Our Mission: By providing physical Help, people in our community can begin the Healing process and realize that they have survived and recovery is possible. This leads them to believing that they will get through this and points them to eternal Hope in Christ.
  • Our Goal: To be prepared for opportunities to minister to those in crisis on an individual basis as well as on a large scale.

Identifying Crisis Needs

Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Floods, Fire and Storms are the most recognizable events that create a crisis in someone’s life, however things like broken water pipes, fallen trees, rotted steps, electrical shorts or even vandalism and violent offenses can put a person without means in a crisis situation.
