Pier 252 is the children’s ministry for kids from Kindergarten through the fourth grade. Our goal is to bring God's word alive in the kids' hearts and help lead them to a relationship with Jesus, all the while loving them to pieces! We want to make it real to them and help them apply Scripture to their lives whether it's at home with with their families or on the school playground.

We use a curriculum from the Orange Ministry. The curriculum focuses on three main truths we want our kids to understand: Wisdom (I need to make the wise choice), Faith (I can trust God no matter what), and Friendship (I should treat others the way I want to be treated). Both the Preschool and Youth programs use the Orange curriculum = consistency.

Each Sunday Pier 252 will feature an interactive large group experience (live music, videos, skits) to engage the heart and small group activities (discussion and activities) to make the connection. We feel it's important to have both large group and small group time. God is going to use both of those times to reach the kids!

Speaking of reaching the kids, one of our key principles is to partner with you the parents to help lead our kids to salvation. You''ll receive timely updates on what we're studying in Pier 252 along with suggested tools to keep the conversation going with your child through the week. We also have Pier 252 FX, a service for kids and parents to worship together!

Sprinkled throughout our regular programming is outreach activities. We're trying to introduce the concept of "being the church" rather than simply attending the church. This past summer we made sandwiches for a bagged lunch ministry (serving the less fortunate in our community) and made care packages for the Hope of Joshua kids (the Nicaragua-based ministry that our church supports).

Pier 252 has a dedicated group of volunteers leading the children. You can rest assured that all leaders have gone through proper background checks and are equipped to teach your children.

We expect God to continue to do great things at Pier 252!
