Update 10/5/2015

We will have a Canopy Conference this Sunday (Oct. 11) to vote on a recommendation to begin construction on the All In Project!! Both the elders and the expansion planning team have unanimously approved the construction plans and cost and will present their recommendation to the church at two conferences sessions in the worship center at 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. The expansion planning team members have worked diligently over the past four months to reduce costs while preserving all of the originally envisioned functionality of the expansion. I believe you will be encouraged and inspired by their recommendation. If you are a member of the church, I hope you will make plans to come to one of the conferences. Regular attenders and guests are welcome to attend as well.

Groundbreaking is tentatively planned for Sunday, October 18th. If the church approves going ahead with construction this Sunday, we will have a groundbreaking service at both worship hours on the 18th. I will interview our architect and construction manager about how the plans were developed and what to expect with construction in the coming months. At the end of the service we have something special planned that will enable every family to pray and leave a permanent mark in the new building. You will not want to miss it!!

Update 10/16/2014

This Sunday is Commitment Sunday and the climax of our All In Campaign! Most of our families will be making their commitments this week. As of today 40 families have committed to give a total of $448,000 over the next three years! If our remaining families will commit to give an average of $200 per family per month above their regular giving for the next 36 months, we will reach our goal! That's only $6.60 per family per day!

We can do this, if we All go All In! I hope you have been asking God what it looks like for you to go All In. Remember, Jesus went All In and gave his life for us. Christians in other parts of the world are giving their lives because of their faith. We must decide what we will give because of ours.

Update 1/26/2014

Tonight we had 2 Canopy Conferences and passed the motion to adopt the expansion plan. Below is the video from the second conference.

Update 1/16/2014

I have great news about our expansion plans! Following many months of work and lots of prayer, the Expansion Planning Team and the Administrative Ministries Team will bring a recommendation to the church at a Canopy Conference on Sunday, January 26th. They will share floor plans for a creative expansion and remodeling plan for our main building and provide cost estimates for the project.

At the conference you will hear a detailed presentation from the Expansion Planning Team and have an opportunity to ask questions about the plan and how we would go about implementing it, if approved. We will have two sessions of the conference at 5:00 PM and 6:15 PM, respectively. The earlier time will give those with children an opportunity to come while their kids are in Awana. The second time will be for our Awana volunteers and anyone else who cannot make the earlier time. Childcare will be provided at 6:15 as well. If hope you or someone from your family will join us at this important conference!

Update 1/12/2014

The Expansion planning committee reviewed and approved the final sketches of the expansion concept.  It is pretty exciting to see what can be and pray that all can see the need for and value of the proposed plans.

The expansion concept will go before the AMT on January 13 to decide whether to bring it before the church.  Once they review and vote, watch for details in the bulletin for the proposed drawings and schedule for a church wide meeting to vote on the concept and budget.

Keep all of this in your prayers as we seek to expand God's kingdom and enhance the ability of all the ministries of the church to serve others.

Update 11/23/2013

The architect, Hayes Layerd, met with Matt, Brad, and Jon Schmidt to discuss some solutions to the space needs for the church.  The primary solution he recommended was to add space onto the west side of the existing worship center to add additional classroom space and relocated the kitchen to open up the lobby area for fellowship and ease of checking in first time guests.  The preliminary plans have been reviewed by the expansion planning team, the worship and greeting teams, the AMT, and the children's ministry leaders.  After review by additional ministry leaders, the plans will be updated and then provided to the church for review and approval sometime in January.

Update 9/24/2013

Matt, Brad and Jon met with the architect project manager today to discuss space needs for all the ministries of the church and where the constraints exist that has been identified by our ministry leaders. The project manager, Hayes, has a lot of experience working with churches and planning and designing new space in an economical way.  He already has a couple of exciting ideas to help CRBC move forward with responsible growth planning and construction.  Stay tuned for more as it develops, and if you have any input, please email us!
